Preliminary Task

Today, me, Harvey and Caitlin are filming our Prelimnary Task. Having decided to go for a gangstar/crime theme, we decided to film our scene in a dark car park location, we would then have 3 characters, a female, her kidnapper and his boss.  We would begin with an establishing shot making it obvious where the location would be, then we would show the woman being thrown into the car before the kidnapper gets into the passenger side, from his walk from the boot to the car door we decided to use a pan effect using a tripod to keep the action steady. To apply a match-on-action affect as the driver gets in the car we would change views with the camera changing to the back seats in the car, as dialogue is exchanged betweeen the driver and passenger we would use shot reverse shot and keep to the 180 degree rule. A twist occurs at the end when the driver decides he cant leave any lose ends and shoots his accumplace before driving off.
