Before begginning on filming our Preliminary task our group had to study Gangster/Crime films and compare them, which would give us an indication on what makes a good gangter/crime film by looking at trends in 4 areas: Sound, Camera Angles, Editing and Mise-En-Scene. We decided to look at 2 films each from the following:
Layer Cake
The Godfather
Bonnie and Clyde
Rock n' Rolla
Gangster Squad
Public Enemy
Having decided on who would watch what i would study Layer Cake a London, Cockney Gangster thriller and The first Godfather film, based on an Italian Mafia boss living in America.
