The Captive: Locations

In deciding where to shoot our final piece, we needed just 1 location. It would have to be in and around a warehouse or container a very condensed small area with open space around it, and at my Nan's we had exactly that. The inside of the container would give us the dark, mysterious impression that we wanted at the start of the film which is actually how the film ends before we cut back to the start where at the same location the kidnapped girl and her lover run from there captives. This is filmed all in Chessington, Surrey an area with a lot of open land that suits the aim of making our opening scene look like its in quite an open area, very countryside like, which is fitting for where you see in most films kidnappers usually takes there victims to keep away from the law similarly like in Skyfall when Bond takes M, obviously in this case this wasn't kidnap but this is the aim we are going for. Here are some snaps of our location:

Here is the driveway on the way down to the warehouse, the open setting and industrial feel makes this location ideal for a gangster film. It will make the victims look vulnerable and alone in an urban area.
This is the warehouse that Nico and Alexis will be tied up in,  knocked unconcsious where only glowsticks will lit up their faces it will create a pitch black interior.

This is the driveway that goes from the main house down to the containers this is where X will drive down with Alexis in the boot.
