The Captive: Final Survey




Following our initial survey done before filming, as we changed the script and were no longer having the split scenes one coming at the start and one at the end of the film we needed to get rid of this question:

10. Did you understand the flashback in our film? If not, why?

Analyses and importance of each question:

 Do you like our film? (Circle) Yes No? - To gain a general perspective of whether the film was a success or not
 How old are you? - To see how the film affected different target audiences, which audience would enjoy it the most
What age do you think our film is aimed at? E.g. What rating, 12, 15, 18? - To get there personal opinion What do you like about our film? - So we make sure we keep this bit if people like it a lot
What genre do you think our film is? - Make sure the gangster genre we are aiming for is coming across Does our title suit the type of film? Why? - If the majority don't think so we can change the name
Is there anything you think we should change? Any ideas of how we can improve our film? - Can improve this in editing
Do you think the camera is steady? And could you see our film clearly? - Good camera quality is vital if this was poor may need to re-film
Did you follow the plot of our film? Do you think it is realistic? - Was it confusing? Could it be perceived to be on a real life cinema screen
Did you like our use of music? Does it suit the film? Why? - If not could change it in editing, did it flow with the genre?
Did you like our use of cinematography? Did everything work in tangent with each other. Mise-en-scene? Did you think our location went with our film? - Did it match with the name and genre of our film
Did you think the costumes were appropriate? - Did they resemble costumes of characters in gangster films, was it similar to this?
